Our Shirley poppies are one of the most beloved flowers of the early summer field — delicate, ruffled blooms in a soft palette of blush, coral, lavender, and white, each petal feather-light and faintly translucent. Harvested at bud stage for maximum vase life and bundled in 10-stem counts straight from our organic-practice fields here in Little Compton. Cut them when the buds are just cracking color and sear the stem ends in boiling water for 10 seconds to help them last. A short season flower — get them while you can.
